Safeguarding quality can be done in many ways. At Opticom we have developed our own tool, Quality Navigator, for making sure that every part of the process of conducting a survey reaches the same high quality standard. Since we work with Quality Navigator continuously, any improvements in our tool lead to immediate improvements in the project's quality.

Quality Navigator comprises guidelines on how different tasks in the project should be carried out as well as an extensive checklist ensuring that no details are missed. Since Quality Navigator describes all project stages and defines individual tasks, responsibilities are clearly divided within the project team. Each project team consists of a corporate advisor, a project manager, and one or more project manager assistants. Moreover, the project team is supported by our human resource staff as well as our statistics department. At the start of each project, the ascribed responsibilities are confirmed in the start-up meeting held with all staff involved. In this way, everyone knows which tasks should be performed and when, and individual work schedules can be set up. Besides guaranteeing quality, this secures timely delivery as well.

With its clear description of all different steps in the project, Quality Navigator, allows new staff at Opticom to fit in easily and supports them in their new tasks. Customers are assured that the same high level of quality can be expected, while new employees can feel safe in their new roles and perform their new task without complications.
